Ipswich High School Fees
2024/25 Fees
Tuition fees include tuition, lunch and enrichment activities. Support for those pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities is also included, where appropriate. We operate on a three-term academic year. The tuition fees exclude public examination fees, wraparound care and coach travel to school.
A non-refundable registration fee of £100 (inc. VAT) is applicable for all pupils wishing to apply to our school.
All day pupils pay a £500 acceptance deposit (exempt from VAT) before joining the school. Deposits are also payable by boarders. The remaining balance of deposits (less any money owed) is returned (or donated on request) after the pupil leaves the school.
We offer other combinations of boarding, for example, a week’s stay whilst parents are away. Please get in touch with our Registrar to discuss options.

International Deposits:
- International boarders are required to pay a £3500 deposit (exempt from VAT).
- For students requiring sponsorship, an annual non-refundable Compliance Management Fee of £600 (incl VAT) applies
- If English assessments are required there is a fee of £60 per test (incl VAT)
- All other full time, weekly and flexi boarders are to pay a £500 deposit (exempt from VAT).
Weekly and Full Boarding fees include:

Occasional Boarding
- Only applicable if a school commitment requires a late finish/early start

Fees for BGA Programmes are charged at the Ipswich High School fees (which include lunch and most Enrichment opportunities) plus the BGA fees.
BGA pathway pupils may also be eligible for special BGA pathway scholarships.

Supplementary Fees
| Wraparound Care | Wrap around - Prep School After School Club until 6pm (5pm on a Friday) - £8.50 Breakfast club from 7.30am - £5.00 After School Club includes a snack and the Breakfast Club provides breakfast. Wrap around - Senior School After school club until 5.30pm (5pm on a Friday) - £8.50 Prior booking is required for both Breakfast Club and After School Club. Please contact Prep Reception or Senior Reception. A late charge of £15 every 15 minutes after 5:30pm for senior pupils and 6pm for prep pupils, (5pm on a Friday) . If students are not booked in advance, each session will be charged at £10. |
| Exam Fees – £350.00 - £600.00 | Exam fees are charged for all GCSE and A Level exams. A charge is also made for any resits and amendments. The final charge is dependent upon exam board fees and options taken by students. |
